Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Technology
Tool list: Fall 2018 AMT tool list. Tools are required for the first week of class.
PPE: Coveralls, safety glasses and a respirator are required. You will purchase these at Orientation.
Costs: Budget approximately $1,450 for tools and $120 for coveralls, safety glasses and respirator. Books are approximately $600 for the first year and $450 for the second year. 
Aircraft Structures Technician
Tool list: Fall 2018 ACST tool list. Tools are required for the first week of class.
PPE: Coveralls, safety glasses and a respirator are required. You will purchase these at Orientation.
Costs: Budget approximately $800 for tools and $120 for coveralls, safety glasses and respirator. Books are approximately $400 for the year. 
Automotive Service Technology
Tool list: Fall 2018 AST tool list. Tools are required by the third week of class.
PPE: CSA-approved steel-toe boots and safety glasses are required on the first day of class. SAIT coveralls are required and can be purchased in the first week of class.
BYOD: An approved laptop is required for the first day of class.
Costs: Budget approximately $2,000 - $5,000 for tools and $450 per year for books and supplies.
Avionics Technology
Tool list: Fall 2018 AXT tool list. Tools are required for the first week of class.
PPE: Coveralls and safety glasses are required. You will purchase these at Orientation.
Costs: Budget approximately $1,200 for tools and $80 for coveralls and safety glasses. Books are approximately $1,000 for the first year and $100 for the second year.
Business Administration - Automotive Management
BYOD: An approved laptop is required for the first day of class.
Costs: Budget approximately $1,500 per year for books and supplies.
Diesel Equipment Technician
Tool list: Fall 2018 DET tool list. Tools are required by the third week of class.
PPE: CSA-approved steel-toe boots and safety glasses are required on the first day of class. SAIT coveralls are required and can be purchased in the first week of class.
Costs: Budget approximately $1,500 - $5,000 for tools and $1,000 for PPE, books and supplies.
Pre-Employment Automotive Service Technician
Tool list: Spring/Summer 2018 MASP tool list. Tools are required for the first week of class.
PPE: CSA-approved steel-toe boots, safety glasses and coveralls are required on the first day of class.
Costs: Budget approximately $2,000 or more for tools and $450 for PPE and books.
Driver’s licence: Although not a requirement, you will have more success upon graduation if you hold a driver’s licence.
Railway Conductor
PPE: Clothing and boots approved for the rail industry. We recommend not purchasing PPE until after you start the program; we will discuss rail industry-approved PPE in class.
Costs: Budget approximately $600 for books and supplies.
