Plan your day

There's no right way to do SAIT Start. You can opt for all registered sessions, explore the Information Fair and other drop-in options or plan for a combination of all we have to offer.

Students Only: Program Meet and Greet

Start building your network of SAIT students and employees early — get to know the people who will help define your post-secondary experience. You'll be automatically registered for this session where you can get specific information about your program, hear from your dean and instructors and meet your soon-to-be classmates.

If you're bringing a guest with you to SAIT Start, this one isn't for them. While you're busy in your Program Meet and Greet, your guest can relax at their own special session, Supporters Only: Coffee with SAIT experts.

Supporters Only: Coffee with SAIT Experts

Getting a post-secondary education is an immersive, challenging and meaningful experience. Many students look for support from their parents, partners or friends. We encourage you to bring a supporter to SAIT Start. During your Program meet and Greet they're encouraged to grab a coffee and browse the Information Fair or drop by the library to chat with a SAIT about learning and accessibility resources. No registration needed.

Information Fair

Running all day in the Stan Grad Centre, the Information Fair has more than 25 booths representing almost every aspect of student life — from athletics, clubs and working on campus to student awards, loans and academic support. No registration needed.

Drop-in Scholarships and Awards Lab

Get all the financial support that's coming to you. The deadline to apply for entrance awards is Tuesday, May 30 — drop-in to MB307 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and get expert assistance with the application process. No registration needed.

Mature Student Meetup

You don't need ID to to get in the door, but for one day only the Odyssey Coffeehouse will cater especially to SAIT's more mature students. Whether you're actually 30+, or a 20 year old who's seen it all, take this opportunity to visit with folks who can relate to a more experienced point of view. No registration needed.
