✈️ School of Health and Public Safety students: Explore health care innovation in Portugal

This summer, ignite your entrepreneurial spirit, foster problem-solving skills and meet like-minded peers and industry experts from around the globe - all while in Porto, Portugal! Students in the School of Health and Public Safety are invited to apply to participate in the European Innovation Academy's three-week program running from July 11 to August 4, 2024. Eligible students may qualify for funding to help cover the cost of the trip. Learn more.

🗣️ Volunteer as an English Conversation Partner

Are you a fluent English speaker? Do you love getting to know other people? SAIT is looking for students, alumni and staff to join our English Conversation Partners program. For an hour a week, English-speaking volunteers will be paired with an English-learning student. Participants will connect over conversations - on any topic they like, online or in-person! You can gain cultural knowledge, make new friends and help fellow students feel connected to the community. Register now.

👥 CICan 2024 Connection Conference

If you're passionate about the future of post-secondary, the CICan 2024 Connection Conference offers participants a chance to network, learn about institutions and attend future-focused workshops on many topics. Hosted in collaboration with SAIT and Bow Valley College from Monday, April 29 to Wednesday, May 1 at the Telus Convention Centre, this annual event attracts over 1,200 attendees from around the world.

💬 Inclusion Talks | Gender Splendor: Creating Safe Spaces

In honour of the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHBT), attend a brief, accessible and easily digestible introduction to gender diversity on Thursday, May 16 at 11 am in Heritage Hall (AA117). This in-person workshop meets all participants (students and employees) where they’re at, providing foundational knowledge and actionable steps to create more welcoming and affirming spaces at SAIT. 🚗 Reminder: Select parking rate increases - effective Wednesday, May 1, 2024

Select parking rates on campus will increase effective Wednesday, May 1. Credit cards on file will be charged the new monthly rates on that date.

🚧 10 Street NW closure extended until Sunday, April 21

The city’s construction crews have experienced challenges resulting in a need to extend the current road closure until Sunday, April 21. 10 Street NW will remain open between 16 Avenue NW and SAIT Way NW, allowing for access in and out of SAIT.

The universal washroom renovation in Aldred Centre is now complete. CA105B beside the Second Cup in the cafeteria is open and available for use.

Further testing following the City of Calgary’s intensive water testing protocols has revealed elevated inorganic substances in 10 point-of-use locations out of the 106 locations tested.

Eight of these points of use locations are in the Senator Burns building, one in the Thomas Riley building and one at the Mayland Heights campus. Testing was completed on all drinking fountains, water bottle filling stations, office kitchen sinks and commercial kitchens in legacy buildings on campus.

Learn about the impacted areas as well as protective and corrective actions being taken.

Between Saturday, March 2 and Monday, April 8, the City of Calgary will be closing 10 Street between Sait Way NW and just north of 5 Avenue NW for construction. 10 Street NW will be open between 16 Avenue NW and Sait Way NW, allowing for access in and out of SAIT.
