Completion of Second Class Part A & B will provide students with up to nine months credit in lieu of the 24 months operating experience in a power plant required to write the Provincial Government exam in Alberta. The price for distance courses does not include the cost of textbooks.
Note: Alberta Boiler and Pressure Vessel safety will accept satisfactory completion of Part A of the Second Class course as the educational requirements necessary for individuals to qualify to take their Second Class Examination. If outside of Alberta, you must check with your local boiler's branch prior to taking this course. You have up to five years to complete all certificate courses.
