Eddy Current Level I Theory - INSP 109Learn more and register
Eddy currents are based on a circulating electrical current induced in a conductive material by an alternating magnetic field. This online eddy current theory course for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) covers generation and properties of eddy currents, sensing element types, factors affecting the test system, instrumentation and applications.
The online format of D2L will give students the opportunity to discuss important issues, access websites and review materials covered in the course. This course is the first part of the required 40 hours of training per the NRCan guidelines. To be certified under the Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) certification scheme students need to take the 16 hour hands-on component INSP-108 separately.
