Program Description

The Unconventional Petroleum certificate offers five courses designed to give participants an in-depth look at the specific technologies and techniques used by the unconventional petroleum industry. Topics include an introduction to thermal and steam assisted gravity drilling (SAGD), oil sands and coalbed methane extraction.


You have up to five years to complete all certificate courses. You must meet the graduation requirements as they exist at the time you register for your first course (see AC.3.1.1 Grading and Progression).
